Pls give some how to's-my daughter abandoned by her dad

My now exhusband, abandoned our two daughter's, ages 3 and 12 at the time...the youngest is now 12yrs.and the oldest is 20...the oldest seems to be struggling the most but they both have pain...after many attempts to have him be invovled in their lives, he still chooses not to...a few years ago he left the country and got remarried...my oldest has tried to contact him...he refuses to respond...this is probably very traumatic because they were close at one time, long ago...this pain seems to have stripped the happiness from my daughters lives...it is so hard to watch...they are so beautiful, smart and talented in dance and singing, yet nothing seems to really fill the emptiness they are experiencing...the only one positive thing and hope they have is their faith in the Lord...we have found a wonderful Christian church that they love attending...if you have any suggestions for a mother, I would greatly appreciate it.

Laura responds: I will give this some thought and the best response I can in these circumstances. Please tell me the father's story...what were his childhood wounds? What were his parents like? Did he experience lack of attachment or abandonment? What happened in your relationship together?
