4. The next step is to build boundaries around past relationships.

If you have UNRESOLVED issues with someone, ESPECIALLY a parent, I suggest you imagine having a telephone conversation with their higher self.

Think of your thoughts and feelings about past relationships as a deep but over-long telephone conversation. It has been very important...but now it is time to get off the phone. You have things to do, a life to live, a future to unfold. As in ...now! So...

Say what you need to say and feel heard. Imagine them saying what you need to hear. Get it out, be heard, be responded to. Imagine you finally get your needs met with this person.

AND THEN....

You know how those lonnnng telephone conversations go on and on? And eventually you REALLY want to get off the phone? Imagine this is how you are feeling now with this past issue around this relationship.

Lovingly and firmly say it is time to bring it to a close. Hang up peacefully and break the pain part of the connection. Accept it and let it go. You did your part, they did their part, you have both learned what you needed. And now it is time to move on. Setting limits, having boundaries, declaring "enough is enough!" with inner resolution ARE natural remedies for anxiety. Easier said than done? YES. But practice makes perfect as they say, and not having something instantly is NO REASON not to make new intentions and create new possibilities.

8. Obviously, anxiety is fear. Fear equals loss of power. The opposite of fear is not fearlessness, it is POWER. Intend that you feel yourself as a force of nature, your own authentic nature. Touch the point about 1" above your pubic bone, in the center (ie, below your navel). Say "I transform my fear into courage."

Do this for 3 days. Do it upon rising and before going to bed. I use acupressure points almost daily. I find they are astoundingly effective natural remedies for anxiety.
