While it's true that attitudes can keep you stuck, this is NOT about making yourself bad and wrong. In Part 2 you will see that your attitudes are often unconscious and inherited.

Vision and goals are so crucial, it becomes hard to maintain healthy attitudes...which then work against you. BUT, as you probably know, NOT having a vision or goals is....well, depressing.
Sacrificing balance, self, or relationship to achieving goals can develop into lack of presence in the now and absence of a unique sense of self. There can be a loss of perspective and of simple joy in life.
Anger and frustration can result from a lack of flexibility regarding goals.
Unpleasant feelings can be suppressed into forced positive thinking...eventually numbness sets in.
Goals may feel like a set up for disappointment, or like superficial values.
You may feel that you are in non-acceptance, dissatisfied or complaining.
You may not be allowing yourself to learn from experience.
You may not fully appreciate the "growth" that comes from reaching for your vision.
You may lose faith in your self.
You may be looking for approval from others or needing to prove yourself.
You may not be appreciating the value of the "mystery" in your unfolding vision and growth.
Remember! Depression self help begins with healing blocks to your life's vision, purpose, and goals...to your natural life-giving need to expand and grow.
